About this property

Welcome to The Red Garter Inn

The Red Garter Inn occupies a restored 1897 building that originally served as a saloon and bordello, located on historic Saloon Row in downtown Williams, Arizona. Featuring Old West-style rooms with high ceilings and original skylights, the inn offers a distinctive atmosphere that reflects the town's heritage. Reviewers highlight the inn’s charm, cleanliness, and attentive staff, though some note the need to navigate stairs with luggage and the occasional urban noise. Its distinct character and setting make it suitable for visitors seeking more than a standard hotel stay near the Grand Canyon.

The room was amazing! Really gave the authentic feeling of a vintage inn. Plenty of amazing spots in the town on the old route 66 and the staff and food in the restaurant below were fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again.

Had a great experience here. Nice comfortable bed in a room that matched the era. Had some great information about the building itself and it's past, a good read. Some items to buy here too, which was a nice touch. Thankyou for a great stay and will definitely come back again.

We did Route 66 and ended up in Williams as part of the route. This was booked by our agent hence we had no idea what to expect. However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. This was our favourite hotel by far along the many we had stayed at en route. The interior decor was amazing. In fact, I fell in love with the carpet and started looking online for it to potentially get the same one for our home which is also a Victorian property. Check in is easy. Since we didn't book it direct, we needed to call a number displayed on the door for an access code. Our room was all ready with keys and info relating to the property's history. We also got a discount voucher to use in the restaurant just below. We only stayed there one night but would gladly have stayed longer. Room was spacious, bed was comfy and cool. If we didn't want to use the AC, there was the ceiling fan. Everything was on the hotel's doorstep... Restaurants, a multitude of shops, a zip line just opposite (if that's your thing) and free parking right outside. If we ever return to William's, this is the only place we would stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The Red Garter Inn was really fun. We had stayed a night in a different hotel that was way more expensive and not nearly our speed or style but Red Garter pulled through. The attention to detail and history is impressive. The room was clean and well taken care of. We had booked through a third party and never got the confirmation email with the details for check in. We were able to use the number on the door and go get dinner and had a response by the time we wanted to head back. We didn't know about the kitchen etc if that was open to use so we just stuck to our room. It is right by the train station and it can be loud, but I enjoy trains so it worked out for us. The gift shop is cool, just wish my tee shirt had the woman logo on the back. Otherwise, a solid stay and we are already looking for excuses to come back.

Honestly best hotel in Williams! Right near the train station. Access to brewery-diner-neon loop (classic sights!) But the best is their rooms outfitted like in the old days. Everything was super clean. Kitchen well stocked for morning coffee. Lovely towels. Amazing history of this historic site. 5 rooms - so not noisy and really classic old west. LOVED our stay! (Be prepared to hike the staircase with suitcases but it’s not bad!!) Thanks Red Garter Inn for a great night. We’ll be back!

We did not stay here, but we crossed paths with a very friendly guy who may have been the owner of the Red Garter Inn. This place has a cool history and if you are a history buff, you might find this to be a place worth staying. Very close to restaurants, the Grand Canyon Railway is nearby.

This was by far the coolest hotel we've ever stayed at! We stayed in Big Bertha's room, and it was incredibly comfortable and quiet. We ran a white noise machine and didn't hear a thing. The beds were comfortable, the temperature was perfect, and bathroom was freaking awesome. Definitely a great stay!

We had a wonderful experience at the Red Garter Inn. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Parlor room and while there was a loud bar next to us, the bed was comfortable and I slept right through it. Super close to the train, if that's why you are in Williams and the restaurant downstairs was a great place for breakfast. Very much enjoyed our stay.
